Everything she said ...
Everything she said pertaining to the point-and-shoot is valid for DSLRs... light, composition, foreground interest. It's funny how caught up people? get in equipment. I've seen some great photos taken with Canon Powershots lately, so good I thought they were using L lenses. All that matters is the time and effort you put into your photography. Use a tripod, wait for the right light, and don't over-edit.

Hi, I just posted ...
Hi, I just posted a video response, as an ameture? photographer over many years, and only recently, I have been slowly uploading images via various video's of pics taken with many different cameras, point and shoot as well as dslr. Experimenting is a big key factor I myself have found, under various light conditons with the camera/s on various settings (and playing with various photo programs, to acheive different effects). Great video momphotographer!

The downside of it (kind of a downside) is that? you are always on the road. You dont have time to sit down and relax - you are always going places. Its fun in the beginning but the longer you do that more tiring it becomes. :-)
